ABOUT QATAR AIRWAYS

Qatar Airways was founded on November 22, 1993. Operations began on January 20, 1994. Amman was first visited in May 1994. In June 2003, Qatar Airways also incorporated its first cargo aircraft into its fleet. An Airbus A300 600R was purchased and converted into a freighter in Germany. It cost US$10,000,000. The carrier also placed an order for Airbus worth US$5.1 billion at the Paris Air Show in June 2003. It was for two Airbus A321s and 14 Airbus A330s.
